DRL Modules
The DRL module is the driver electronics between the car and the light guide — the part to suspect when the fault is in the electronics rather than in the guide or the LED board. One side dark or dimmer, flickering when cold, or a headlight error on the dash with no visible damage usually points here. The 26 modules on this page cover 30 chassis (2003–2026) — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Ford, Nissan and Renault — and every card states the exact model years it was checked against.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I know if the DRL module is faulty?
- One daytime running light dark or dimmer than the other, flicker that comes and goes with temperature, or a persistent headlight warning while the guide shows no burn marks — that pattern points to the module. If the guide itself has a visible crack or burn spot, replace the guide instead.
- Where is the DRL module, and how big is the job?
- On most chassis the module sits in or on the headlamp housing. The headlamp has to be opened or partially disassembled to reach it, so plan for roughly 30–60 minutes per side; professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable with that.
- Do replacement modules need coding?
- No. The modules use factory-matched connectors and behave the way the original does — no cutting, splicing or dealer coding.
- Will a module fit my exact model year?
- Every card lists the range it was verified against, for example “Fits 2011–2016”. Match it to your chassis and year before ordering, and ask us if your year is not listed.
