DRL Light Guide Strips & LED Board
The light guide is the acrylic light pipe that spreads the LED diodes into a clean white DRL signature, and the LED board is the diode strip that feeds it. When a daytime running light goes dark on one side, dims, or flickers, one of the two has usually failed — and swapping it restores the original look without replacing the whole headlamp. The 176 guides and boards on this page cover 116 chassis (2005–2026), across BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Lexus and more — and every card states the exact model years it was checked against.

Frequently asked questions
- Light guide or LED board — which part do I need?
- The guide is the light pipe — replace it when it is cracked, melted or has burn marks. The board is the diode strip behind it — replace it when a segment stays dark or the glow turns uneven. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the headlamp and we will tell you which one fits.
- Can a yellowed or dim guide be polished back to clear?
- Light haze can be polished, but haze is rarely why a DRL looks wrong: burned spots, cracks and delamination cannot be repaired, and polishing does not restore lost brightness. A replacement guide brings back the sharp factory light line.
- Should I replace both sides at once?
- LEDs age together. If one side failed from age, the other is usually not far behind, and pairing keeps brightness and colour temperature symmetric across the front of the car. Single pieces are available if only one side is damaged.
- Will the light look the same as the factory signature?
- The guides and boards follow the factory light-pipe design and colour temperature, so the DRL line looks as it did on day one. Each product card states the chassis and model years the part was verified against.
